Cybersecurity and SolaX inverters
From time to time, questions arise regarding cybersecurity and the risk of unintentional data leakage or unauthorized control from third countries in connection with inverters from Chinese manufacturers. Here are the key facts concerning cybersecurity and the stance of Solax Power towards European regulations.
1. SolaX Power complies with European directives
All SolaX Power products are developed with care and a strong focus on compliance with the strict European Radio Equipment Directive RED 2014/53/EU.
RED 2014/53/EU Declaration available here
2. Data of SolaX product users are stored on servers in the EU
User data of SolaX technology users is stored on EU servers.
Specifically in Frankfurt, Germany.
The location where the user data of a given installation is stored is selected automatically based on the end account location (or installer account). This can also be independently verified using any geolocation tool, e.g., IPlocation.

The address of the SolaX Cloud server is: 47.254.152.103 – this address can be independently verified directly in the Wifi/LAN dongle interface after direct wifi connection to the device.

3. SolaX can be used with third-party monitoring apps
Every user has the freedom to use SolaX inverters with monitoring applications from other providers and not be connected to the SolaX Cloud.
For example, in our offer you will find a next-generation controller NORD POWER GENIUS PRO, which is entirely developed and managed by developers located in the EU.
4. SolaX can be used in off-line mode only
SolaX inverters can also be fully operated in off-line mode, allowing production data to be read and the inverter to be managed locally without needing an online connection or purchasing additional devices. In such case, no user data is collected.
