Weidmüller DC surge protection (SPD) for direct mounting on PV panels

We are expanding our range with high-quality type 1+2 DC surge protection devices from the renowned manufacturer Weidmüller, designed for installation directly on the roof near photovoltaic panels.

Two versions available – for 1x MPP and for 2x MPP.

Key Benefits:

• Optical device status indicator: Clear functionality indicator (green = OK, red = replacement needed).
• Safety and efficiency: Ideal for installations with a longer distance between panels and the DC distribution box or in areas with a higher risk of lightning strikes.
• Compatibility and easy installation: Plug & Play installation o Flexible mounting: on the wall (mounting kit included), in a cable tray, or directly under the panel using UV-resistant straps.
• Complies with distribution companies’ requirements for placing protection as close to the PV panels as possible.

The surge protection will be available from 06/2025.
