PV panels

Photovoltaic panels are an important part of a photovoltaic system. They can be differentiated by: colour, power, format size, efficiency and the technology used. For example, smaller design all-black PV panel formats are commonly used for residential applications, while larger format panels with higher power output are suitable for commercial and industrial applications.

PV panels generally consist of a large number of solar cells. In each individual cell, a so-called photoelectric phenomenon takes place whereby sunlight is converted into direct current (DC). The panels are connected to a photovoltaic inverter that converts this direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC), which is commonly used in the electricity grid.
