Description

SOLAX SMART EV CHARGER is an intelligent charging station for electric vehicles from the leader in hybrid inverters. It allows dynamic charging, limiting the charging current from the grid, using maximum energy from your PV plant. It can be installed both to existing inverters, but it works perfectly with SOLAX inverters, where you can use all its functions to the full and also guarantee perfect compatibility and synchronization.

Charging modes

The main advantage of the green mode is that your electric car is charged exclusively from solar panels. The default charging level is set to 6A and the Smart EV Charger will never draw electricity from the grid. However, there is also a 3A level where the Smart EV Charger will take the remaining 3A from the grid if it is not sufficient.

The Eco mode helps to charge with a fixed minimum power in five levels of 6/10/16/20 and 25A. Energy will be drawn as much as possible from the PV system, but if this energy is insufficient, the remaining will be covered by the grid. Example: if you set the charging current to 16A and the inverter allows 10A to be supplied, the remaining 6A will be taken from the grid, but if the inverter allows 18A to be supplied, the Smart EV Charger's charging current will also be 18A.

In Fast mode, the Smart EV Charger charges at maximum current (16/32A depending on the model), where it does not matter whether the power is taken from the inverter or the mains. This mode is suitable when you want to charge your EV as fast as possible or when the tariff is low.

Activate this feature to select when the Smart EV Charger should charge at maximum available power, no matter which charging mode is currently selected. This feature can be used, for example, on a low HDO tariff.

When this function is selected, the user sets the amount of energy to be charged and the time for which this energy should be charged, then the Smart Ev Charger calculates the average charging power per hour and charges your electric car to the set value. The charging energy is preferably taken from your PV system, this function is only available in ECO mode.

Dynamic power control function

By setting this function, the user selects the maximum capacity of the grid at the connection point and does not exceed this capacity while the Smart EV Charger is charging, regardless of the charging mode in progress. This function is adjusted in real time depending on the current power consumption at the connection point.
