Charging modes
The main advantage of the green mode is charging your electric vehicle exclusively from solar panels. The default charging level is set to 6A, and the Smart EV Charger will never draw electricity from the grid. However, there is also a 3A level where the remaining 3A can be drawn from the grid if insufficient solar energy is available.
The Eco mode helps to charge with a fixed minimum power in five levels: 6/10/16/20, and 25A. Energy will be drawn primarily from the PV system, but if this energy is insufficient, the remaining energy will be covered by the grid. Example: If you set the charging current to 16A and the inverter can provide 10A, the remaining 6A will be drawn from the grid, but if the inverter can provide 18A, the charging current of the Smart EV Charger will also be 18A.
In Fast mode, the Smart EV Charger charges with the maximum current (16/32A depending on the model), regardless of whether the energy is drawn from the inverter or the grid. This mode is suitable when you want to charge your electric vehicle as quickly as possible or during a low-tariff period.
Activating this feature allows you to choose when the Smart EV Charger should charge with the maximum available power, regardless of the selected charging mode. This function is useful, for example, during low tariff periods (e.g., HDO).
